"The sound of rolling dice, to me, is music in the air, 'cause I'm a gamblin' Boogie Man, although I don't play fair! It's much more fun, I must confess, with lives on the line! Not mine, of course, but yours, old boy! Now that'd be just fine!"
- Oogie Boogie
Oogie Boogie is one of the inhabitants of Halloween Town in Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Oogie Boogie is a boogeyman, a "mythical creature used by adults to frighten children into good behavior." He resembles a large burlap potato sack; on the inside, he is a colony of bugs. He lives in an underground lair full of torture devices. Unlike the other inhabitants of Halloween Town, Oogie Boogie is truly evil.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing Oogie Boogie from the Nightmare Before Christmas
1. Begin by drawing Oogie Boogie's head. Draw two wavy curved lines, but do not allow them to intersect. The shape should resemble the popular Poop Emoji.
2. Extend three curved lines from the top of the head, allowing them to meet at a point. This encloses the top of the head.
3. Draw the creature's arm, extending a line from the base of the head and doubling it back upon itself. Draw a "Y" shaped line to form the side of the torso and the arm joint. Draw a curved line down the arm, and cross it with many small lines.
4. Draw the remaining arm, using a curved "Y" shaped line for the top and a "U" shaped line for the bottom. Draw a curved line beneath the arm to form the side of the torso. On top of the hand, draw two small cubes. Draw dots on the sides of the cubes, indicating that they are dice.
5. Extend the curved lines of the torso.
6. Draw two overlapping curved lines beneath the torso, forming the foot and the bottom of the body.
7. Draw a curved line to enclose the figure and form the remaining foot.
8. Draw long, curved lines down the upper and lower arm, the side of the monster, and across the side of the foot. Cross these lines with irregularly spaced, short, curved lines, forming stitches. Then, add dimension by drawing short curved lines beneath the neck, under the arm, and above the foot.
9. Detail the face. Enclose two sideways teardrop shapes to form the eyes. Draw a pair of horizontal wavy lines across the face to indicate the mouth. Then, draw short lines along the top and bottom lips.
Color the Oogie Boogie in light brown.
